Waterjet Corporation, A True Manufacturer

WATERJET was the brainchild of the entrepreneurial vision of the engineer, Salvatore Russo. Since founding the company, he has been a DESIGNER AND MANUFACTURER of CNC, high-pressure water jet cutting systems and machine
tools.

After graduating and passing the Mechanical Engineering State Examination at the Polytechnic of Milan, on 2 May, Massimo Russo joined the company bringing with him new technological and marketing ideas for the development and internationalisation of the company.

After the initial few years of business, marked by the first successes, the purchase of three production facilities in Monza was finalised for the overall management of:

• ASSEMBLY
• SHOWROOM
• RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

Thanks to comprehensive experience built up in the high-pressure cutting industry, a second division of the company was created, designing and manufacturing an innovative, new, eco-sustainable machine, WATERSTONE/HYDROFINISH for the surface treatment of stone materials using a high-flow, high-pressure water jet.

An international sales and marketing network was gradually established, 2022 including THE EXCLUSIVE WATERJET MIDDLE EAST BRANCH OFFICE IN THE
UAE ON 20 MARCH, to support production potential, guaranteeing a local sales service in the Middle East for water-cutting machines and timely assistance.

A FIVE-YEAR JOINT VENTURE WAS SIGNED IN CHICAGO WITH MITSUBISHI CORPORATION MACHINERY for the customised Private Label production and distribution in the USA of over 200 Waterjet Made in Italy machines.

The exclusive Waterjet USA branch was set up in Geneva Illinois to provide direct sales and after-sales support of Waterjet’s systems, thus ensuring continuous local distribution of systems and efficient and timely after-sales
service throughout North America.

Waterjet’s commercial and production success was crowned by the BTOB award, the highest award for entrepreneurship in Lombardy: competing with the best industries in the region, Waterjet placed first In the “Internationalisation” category.

After four years of intensive planning, research, development, design, testing and patent application, on 12 November, four innovative all electric, high-efficiency and energy-saving, hybrid intensifier SERVO PUMPS were showcased and officially launched worldwide, ushering in a new era in the waterjet world in line with the modern and more eco-sustainable industrial evolution.

Another production facility was purchased for the assembly and testing of the NEW W-POWER PUMPS to support the company’s comprehensive technological expansion and integration, and also as an ongoing guarantee of compliance with ISO9001-2015 standards and the machinery directive for correct Made in Italy
production and CE certification of all equipment.

The fourth company division was inaugurated, designing and officially launching a new range of CHEFLINE machines for the food industry dedicated to high-pressure processing pasteurisation of fresh and frozen food.
Waterjet is now the only manufacturer in the world with a broad cross-section of environmentally friendly proprietary machines that utilise exclusively high- pressure waterjet technology.
